OWO, the developer of a haptics system that allows users to feel physical sensations while in-game, announced today that pre-orders for its Founder Edition haptic gaming system are now open, with the product to be available worldwide from the beginning of 2023.
With over 30 sensations available, the Founder Edition delivers an amplified level of immersion as now it’s possible to physically feel games on all platforms – PC, Mobile, Console and VR. Gamers have the chance to interact with the environment, experience their surroundings, and receive impacts and alerts in real-time while playing. Players can feel the wind while free-falling out of the bus in Fortnite, experience the sensation of being wounded in-game, and the enemy’s nexus explosion when winning in League of Legends.
The Founder Edition, for €499 will be limited to 2,000 units worldwide and will use a “first come, first served” system, where users will be able to reserve their haptic system for €50. In addition, the company offers a special promo with a discount of 20% for users who make a full payment in advance, bringing the price down to €399. Those pre-paying users will also be given preference to receive the first units, which will be delivered starting from the beginning of 2023.
