OWO Skin
  • I can’t feel anything with the OWO Skin.

We’ve often found that the issues can be solved by following these steps. 

  • Restart the device and check the gel pads: Begin by restarting both the device and the app. Check that you have taken off all the plastic covers from the gel pads and ensure that the gel pads are in direct contact with your skin. You must place them on the designated areas without any obstructions. Please ensure there are no barriers, such as body hair, interfering with the electrodes’ contact with the skin. Particularly in the case of males, body hair may disrupt the electrodes’ contact with the skin and subsequently impact their proper functioning. Additionally, it might be beneficial to have another person try on the OWO Skin to verify if the problem persists. You can find detailed instructions in our User Manual.
  • Verify the OWO Skin connection: Make sure that the OWO Skin plug is securely connected to the device.
  • App calibration: Put the OWO Skin on and open My OWO App. Before you start playing, it will automatically ask you to get calibrated. At this point, you simply need to follow the instructions and adjust the intensity of each sensation in each muscle. Start low and go up until you feel the sensation the way you like.
  • Functionality test: Lastly, send a ball sensation to all the muscles to check the functionality.

  • I am not feeling during calibration

Stop the calibration and make sure that there are no remaining plastic covers on your OWO Skin.

  • I am not feeling while playing games

 If you are using My OWO App:

  • Make sure that the sensations counter at the bottom of the screen is increasing, if not it means that either the game has stopped sending sensations or there has been a problem with your connection.

Otherwise:

  • There may have been a problem with the connection, exit the game session in the app and attempt to reconnect with the game.
  • If you are playing a verified game, make sure that the intensity is correct in the specific calibration of the game. If not, there may be a problem with your general calibration.
  • You may have to adjust your general calibration, to do this simply go to the settings page and select “Reset Calibration”.
  • In case both leds (battery and BLE) are not blinking, please reboot the OWO Device.

  • The sensation feels unpleasant

If the sensation feels unpleasant:

  • Make sure the electrodes are placed correctly over the corresponding muscle.
  • In case you have a small injury or scar tissue, it may result in discomfort as these areas are more sensitive.
  • Readjust the calibration of the sensation.
